Here you can learn more about the layouts for Erin’s custom planner.

Watercolor Title Page

Erin’s title layout is a muted jewel-tone green watercolor title page. For the header, “Erin’s” is in a calligraphy font. Then, on the second line, “shit show” is in an all-caps print font.

Future Log

This future log includes 12 months. Each page features three months each with a row. Then, each row has a mini-calendar. Finally, the headers for each month are jewel-tone script lettering.

Monthly Calendar

For each monthly layout, I used a simple grid calendar. Then, the header is a simple black script lettering on top of a watercolor jewel-tone splotch. Additionally, the header is located vertically down the right side.

Weekly Rows:

The weekly layouts include seven rows, four on the left page and three on the right. Then, the main header is in black script lettering. And finally, the day of the week is a black print letter with the date is a small subscript. Similar to the monthly calendar, the daily headers are over the top of some jewel-tone watercolor.

Grocery List

This layout is a primarily blank two-page spread. Further, this spread includes a header similar to the previous headers in that it includes black script lettering over watercolor jewel tone sections. Further, there are little doodles on most of these pages according to month themes.

Notes & To-Do List

This final layout is incredibly similar to the grocery list, except, it is two layouts morphed together. Further, the left page is the notes and the right page is the to-do list and each has its own black script letter with jewel-tone watercolor and month-themed doodles.

Metallic Green March 2020 Plan-with-Me

This post will be a brief overview of my bullet journal layout for March 2020 where I decided to do a switch up with a metallic green theme.

This post will be a brief overview of my bullet journal layout for March 2020. I decided to do a little bit of a switch up with this month’s theme.

As I mentioned in my 2020 overview video, I plan to keep this year simple to give me time to work on other things. Let’s get started.

Before we get started here is a list of my recommended supplies.

Recommended Products

The Metallic Green Process

As you probably know, I have been trying to be more minimalistic this year with my own personal bullet journal due to time. However, it is a little boring for me to keep everything the same each month. So, to mix things up, I decided to start using other metallic colors. Because the general theme for March is green for St. Patty’s Day, I chose a metallic green color. This metallic green has replaced the gold for March.

The Layout Descriptions

Nothing except the metallic color has changed for the month of March. Essentially, the function of the spread is the same as it was for February and January. However, let’s dive into if you aren’t familiar. The left page is where I keep my schedule for Monday through Saturday by the half-hour. This one is super useful to help me keep track of meetings and appointments. Then, on the right page is six rectangle boxes representing each day of the week. Saturday and Sunday share the sixth box. Here is where I mark all-day events, holidays, due dates, and daily to-dos. This spread has been working phenomenally for me and I intend to keep it!

Additional Layouts

Finally, let’s talk about extra layouts. First, I wanted to show off an update about my plant care tracker which I showed an unfinished version of last month. Ultimately, the main change is the header. I have to add a day of water and do a fertilizing session soon!

Next, I added a video ideas page! I had not added my ideas at the time I took the photo, but I am so excited to explore new video ideas both for ElizabethJournals and ElizabethPlants!

Blue & Grey Paint Splatter Custom Bullet Journal

The most popular items in my shop is the custom bullet-journal. Today, we will walk through a blue and gray paint splatter journal for Maranda.

One of the most popular items in my shop is the custom bullet-journal-inspired planners. These are 100% customizable and make bullet journaling so much easier for you! That being said, for each order created, I take pictures and video of the notebook to help inspire your own custom planner. Today, we will be walking through a blue and gray paint splatter bullet journal created for Maranda.

Maranda ordered a custom bullet-journal-inspired planner. Maranda requested the Leuchtturm1917 A5 Dotted Hardcover in Pacific Green. The primary colors used for her notebook are blue and gray. Further, the layouts involved include a title or cover page, future log, period tracker, pill tracker, mood pixels, savings jar, monthly cover pages, monthly calendar, sleep log, work tracker, migraine pain log, stress tracker, and weekly grid.

Tools Used For Maranda’s Custom Planner

Layouts Included

Here you can learn more about the layouts for Maranda’s custom planner.

Paint Splatter Title Page

Maranda requested watercolor paint splatter cover pages. Her color of choice was blue. Each cover page is a different shade of blue, the main cover page for the whole notebook includes several shades of blue paint. On this page, I wrote “Maranda” in black calligraphy and “2020 planner” in a regular print font.

Future Log

This future log includes 12 months. Each page features three months each with an invisible row. Then, each row has a mini-calendar. Further, the headers for each month are in a dark gray print font. Finally, the main header is in blue calligraphy lettering.

Period and Pill Tracking

These trackers are modeled after my own period and pill trackers. They are styled very minimally with blue calligraphy headers. Further, these layouts do not have any linework. The vertical axis includes a date for each day of a month and the horizontal axis includes the initial of each month. Finally, there is a key for each tracker at the bottom of each page.

Year in Pixels Mood Tracker

This page is a grid involving a square for each day of the year. Down the right side is a key indicating how to fill in the square for each day. The key is unfinished so that Maranda could decide how to fill it in. Last, the header is in blue brush lettering and black print font.

Savings Jar Tracker

For this savings tracker, there is a jar on the right side. The jar has 12 sections. Further, each part of the jar is for one month of the year. Further, there are sections to write in a goal. The header is in blue brush lettering and black print font.

Monthly Cover Page

The monthly cover pages mimic the main header, except each month has its own shade of blue. Each paint splatter is unique and created differently. All lettering is done is a hand-drawn brush lettered font.

Simple Monthly Calendar

For each monthly layout, I used a simple grid calendar. Then, the header is a blue or gray brush-lettering. Additionally, the header is located vertically down the right side.

Sleep Log

Each month includes four habit trackers. The first is the sleep log. This spread features a graph-style design. The horizontal axis has time and the vertical axis has the day of the month. Further, the main header is a blue brush lettered font

Work Tracker

Next to the sleep log is the work tracker. Each page includes a brush lettered header, calendar broken into 2 by 2 grid squares, and a key including 6 options that were left blank.

Migraine Log

The migraine tracker essentially mimicks the sleep log in that it features the same structure and design. However, instead of tracking time each day, this log tracks pain level on a scale of 1 to 10 for each day.

Stress Tracker

The stress tracker is modeled after the work tracker. All aspects of the tracker are the same except the header specifics.

Weekly Grid Layout

The weekly grid layout is a weekly layout that encompasses seven days. Further, each page includes eight squares that make up the grid. Seven of the boxes are for the days of the week, and the 8th box is blank. For the headers, the lettering utilizes a blue or gray print font. Additionally, all of the other letterings are done using a black print font.

2019 Bullet Journal Rewind & Review

Each year I like to go back through my previous journal and look at how it progressed, what worked, what didn’t work, what I enjoyed, etc. This year is no different. I flipped through my 2019 bullet journal notebook and have some things to share. Let’s rewind and tackle the good, the bad, and the indifference of my 2019 bullet journal.

Favorite 2019 Planner Products

January 2019 – Blue Mosaic

For January, I began with a weekly that worked with what I had liked from my 2018 bullet journaling experience. I knew I enjoyed filling the empty space with color and had recently gotten mosaic stamps that I wanted to use. Naturally, I left the space with words untouched so that it could be read. However, over time I realized that I did not like the weirdness of this composition. You’ll notice I make this change in future layouts.

February 2019 – Gold

For February, I decided to mix things up and use paint. To this day, this may be one of my favorite theme concepts. The paint seemed to work the best for the sake of mess and appearance. No fundamental changes were made to this spread and it continued to work just fine for me!

March 2019 – Geometric

I cannot quite remember what inspired this fun and geometric layout, but I still love it! White is one of my favorite colors if you can call it a color. Additionally, I LOVE the incorporation of black and gold and shapes. This modern geometric style has always been one I enjoy.

April 2019 – Pink Mosaic

Next, I decided to bring back mosaic stamps with a spring flair and fix the header issues. So, with my new pink ink pad, I decided that using the color under the headers would be best. However, I do not have a paint to match the ink so I had to figure that issue out. Luckily the stamp pad was smaller and I was able to just stamp straight from the ink pad. I really enjoy the way the white looks over the pink color.

May 2019 – Night Sky

At this point, I realized I had not yet used watercolor and decided to do that. I love the look of a watercolored night sky and was inspired. I love that the gold paint pen I used is not obvious and you really only see the “stars” when the light catches. Also, this layout continued to work for me, but if you’ve not noticed, I began using the theme color in between the columns as if they float over the background instead of linking them up to one another.

June 2019 – Purple Floral

I am not a purple lover, so I was testing my limits with this theme. However, I do not hate the theme. I think that in adding the flowers, the concept was very much improved.

July 2019 – Yellow Sunshine

To drastically change the theme, I went with yellow and used washi tape. This is in my top 4 themes from 2019. I love the way gold looks with the yellow and the washi tape adds a nice contrast to the yellow!

August 2019 – Green Watercolor

I enjoyed the use of washi tape so much in July, that I chose to include it into my august spread. Another thing I decided to change was my use of gold. Up until this point, I tried to use gold or copper ink in my spreads. However, for August, I decided to stick with primarily black.

September – Teal Mosaic
