Pim’s Empowering Words Watercolor Notebook

Pim's Empowering Words Watercolor Notebook

Pim ordered a custom bullet journal inspired planner. Pim’s planner was a homemade leatherbound notebook which she sent me. Unlike other client notebooks I’ve designed, this one is more of a journal. Instead of various layouts, there are merely random watercolor spots with empowering words on them throughout the notebook. So, here is a breakdown of the notebook created for Pim.

Layout Description

This notebook is very different then other ones I have done. Instead of creating a planner, I added artwork to a journal. Further, I added a title page, watercolor artwork, and empowering words.

Title Page

Pim’s title layout is a pink watercolor title page. For the header, “P.T.” is in a calligraphy font. Then, unlike what I usually do, there is no second line

Watercoloring

Throughout the notebook, there are spots of watercolor in various colors. Then, these watercolor spots are generally on the edges of the pages. Further, each spot is at different places on the pages. Finally, on top of the watercolored spots are empowering words. You can check out the different words I used below.

7 Ways Traveling Empowers You

Traveling and familiarizing yourself with other cultures and ways of living has the power to change how you see yourself and the world around you. Many people report that travel has been a life-changing experience for them. I am also one of the people who believe empowerment through travel is real. Travel has taught me a lot of things about the world, not only about the people, culture, architecture, and history of foreign places but also about myself. Years of traveling and the opportunity to meet different cultures brought me not only fun and joy but also serenity, knowledge, courage, self-reliance, resilience, adaptability and much more.

Serenity

Traveling will help you learn how to live in the now and embrace the present moment. You will discover that things will not always be as you expect, but you will also learn how to accept them as they are.

Fun and Joy

When you are out visiting another country, you will experience a lighthearted moment and an invasion of delight because you will realize that you have left all your worries behind.

Knowledge and Self-Awareness

Things will not always go as you planned. When that happens on the road or in a foreign country, you will discover what you’re really made of. Traveling tests you and strips you of the protection of the familiar.

If you decide to visit some of the third-world countries, unfortunately, you will witness hardship and poverty that may be very difficult to handle. This will help you appreciate things you have taken for granted before and see the world differently.

Openness and Courage

Things around your may be quite unfamiliar, but you will appreciate the differences and be curious about them. You may have to do things that scare you or challenge you in some way. You will push yourself beyond what you thought you are capable of both physically and emotionally.

Self-Reliance and Confidence

No matter whether you travel alone or with friends, you have only yourself to rely on, and whatever happens, you’ll have to found a way to bounce back because you don’t have any other choice. Your usual coping mechanisms won’t be available so you will have to find new ways to adapt.

Connection and Friendship

Traveling is an excellent way not only to meet new people and see the world through their eyes but also to connect with your existing friends (whom you travel with) on a deeper level. On the road, you will spend a lot of time together and meet each other better. You will also see their other side that opens up when you are in an unfamiliar environment. You will go through a lot of things together that will strengthen your relationship and create beautiful memories.  Traveling is also a great way to connect your partner and to get closer to each other.

Perspective and Gratitude

You will found out that not everyone is fortunate as you are to travel and see the world. It will help you see things from another perspective and be grateful for everything you have. Realizing how grateful you are to be able to travel will also ensure you make the most out of every trip.

How to Live An Empowered Life | 3 Empowering Tips

Living in a western society isn’t straightforward if you’re a woman, the system isn’t gamed in our favor. Guys get the chances and opportunities, and it reflects in the way men and woman view one another. We’ve all been caught in a spiral before, stuck in a rut with seemingly no way out, and it’s a nasty feeling. These emotions only strengthen over time. But, pitying oneself isn’t the answer. The key is to take control of your life and better your lifestyle, and only you can make the changes. The truth is, it’s quite easy to feel empowered. Just take a look at the advice below if you’re a non-believer.

Staying Clean is Empowering

Not to reinforce female stereotypes, but because a tidy and clean environment is an easy way to declutter the mind and feel accomplished. For one thing, dirt and grime are health hazards and make the body feel tired and run down. I don’t know if you’ve tried to, but attempting to be less self-conscious is almost impossible when you lack the energy. The second point is a mental one. Renting Canning Vale storage units seems as if it shouldn’t have an impact on the brain, yet it does. Being tidy around the house encourages the mind to throw out the mental clutter that has been dogging you for weeks. Think of it as an example that the brain will follow.

Go “Half-Total”

What does “half-total” mean? It refers to drinking, but instead of giving up completely, you cut down. We all understand the negative impacts of drinking too much alcohol. There is the inevitable emotion of anxiety as you try to remember what you said to whom and if you embarrassed yourself the night before. Plus, waking up with a hangover isn’t a positive way to start the day. Cutting down, then, act as a catalyst to exercise and tick things off the bucket list. And this is empowering. But, don’t quit entirely because a glass of vino can be a perfect stress-reliever at the end of a hard day. If cutting down on alcohol isn’t for you, try applying this same idea to unhealthy foods or other bad habits!

Forgive & Forget As A Form Of Empowerment

Let’s not gloss over how harmful stress is to the average human being. Releasing tension is essential if you are going to keep blood pressure low, and exercise is the usual helper. However, working out isn’t an option for all of us as time is precious and the days short. Forgiving, therefore, is a simple solution. The reason we hold on to pent-up aggression is that we can’t let go, yet being magnanimous can help us to forget.

Ask Yourself, Who Cares?

Women have to deal with a constant level of scrutiny. Every time we leave the house, we have to look our best to ensure there are no snide comments. This attitude means our appearance can reduce empowerment. Thankfully, there is a basic fix, and it’s the question in the subheading. Who cares whether you aren’t wearing makeup today? As long as it isn’t you, then there isn’t an issue. Typically, we build up problems in our head that don’t exist.

What are the empowerment tips that help you get through the day?
