Spring Pink Mosaic Stamps | April Bullet Journal Plan-With-Me

My April bullet journal was inspired by my own January bullet journal as well as a client’s notebook. I stuck with a pink mosaic look with a spring touch. Keep reading to check out the layouts I used and my process for my spring pink mosaic stamped April bullet journal.

My April Set-up

Like usual, My set-up includes a hello page and monthly pages. I keep this relatively simple. So, the hello page for April is all stamped up with the exception of a row in the top half of the page. This row is sponged in the same ink color. Then, the lettering is done in white minimal calligraphy.

The weekly layouts are the same as in my March set-up. The blank space is filled with mosaic stamps in the pink color. There are sponged sections in the top where the header is. Again, the headers are written in white minimal cursive. There are then 7 columns for each day of the week. The columns are outlined in black. Further, each day of the week is written in a print font this month.

My April Process & Theme

For April my theme is magenta pink mosaic stamps, my bullet journal was inspired by both my January layout and a client’s journal. The use of stamps is what I pulled from my January plan-with-me and the chosen color, pink is what I pulled from a client’s journal. My theme and process for April were known halfway through March and I was so excited to complete my set-up.

When I was creating the layouts for the client, her colors were pink and yellow. I have two pink ink pads, however, one of them is more neon and did not match her notebook. So, I picked the new pink ink pad, which I had not used before. I fell in love immediately. This color is so bold and beautiful. It is a shade of pink that I enjoy personally and it looks so good.

Since I knew I wanted to use this pink color, the only real option was to use the stamps that I had used in my January plan-with-me. I wanted to switch it up at least a little, and I opted to re-order the stamps. Additionally, I wanted the hello page to be different. I decided to try to make the area with lettering solid ink. My ink pad does not hold enough ink for that, but I am really happy with the outcome. I will definitely need to get more of this ink.

Elephant Themed April 2017 Bullet Journal

Did you know that this month there is an Elephant Day! Yes, April 16th is Elephant Day! To celebrate Elephant Day AND spring, this month’s bullet journal plan-with-me theme is Elephants and the color green. Keep reading to see my layouts and read more about my inspirations. This post may contain affiliate links

April Bullet Journal Theme | Elephants & Green

As I mentioned, this month’s theme is green and Elephants. Green was chosen as my secondary color because it is the color of fresh grass and the leaves on the trees. Plus, it is my favorite color and elephants are my favorite animal, so it just works. The green that I chose was the Mildliner green because I love both the color and the pen.

The elephant part of the theme was incorporated with the use of elephant washi tape. I went on a spree and bought a whole bunch of elephant washi tape on Etsy. I have not yet received all of my tapes but you can see the tapes I do have, and I will share with you where I got them in the next section. In addition to the washi tape, my hello April page features a geometric elephant and a minimal cursive title in green.

April Bullet Journal Layouts

The format of this month’s bullet journal layout is nearly identical to March’s layouts. The most significant difference is the titling and washi tape choices in the weekly layouts. As I mentioned before, I purchased some elephant washi tape to feature. I also decided to go with a bubbly minimal cursive for the title instead of the neat regular print I usually use. I definitely prefer the cursive!

The monthly layout is the same except I used the green metallic brush pen to write “April” and added a little gray elephant at the tail of the “L.” Similarly, I used the green Mildliner to label the days of the week and the “running to-do” and “goals” sections. The little gray elephant was also drawn with a Mildliner pen.

For week 1, I used a gray elephant washi tape with tiny red details. This washi tape came in a pack of 9 tapes and was purchased here. Week 2 does not yet have washi tape. Week 3 utilizes my favorite washi tape, a gold geometric elephant washi tape. This tape came with another roll; I purchased this tape here. Week 4 also does not yet have washi tape.

April 2017 Bullet Journal Layout | Plan-with-Me

For my bullet journal in the month of April, I decided to make some changes that were much-needed. In March’s spread, I talked about some things that I needed to change and add for April. Well, I listened to myself and made those changes, check it out!

Monthly Spread

My monthly calendar page is visually exactly the same as last month. I still have the same layout. There are a few changes, though.

The first and most obvious change is that I have chosen a different quote. This month’s quote is, “Every day may not be good, but there is something good in every day.”

The next change is how I mark scheduled blog posts. In March, I was writing out the titles of the post in the month (check out the article here). To me, this just seemed cluttered and not necessary. I already had the title written in my weekly spread.

Instead of writing the whole title, I referred to my legend, where I had already created a solution. I had a little icon for blog posts. As you can see in the photo, I have implemented this icon in my monthly spread for April.

Lastly, I am fiddling with different ways to indicate all-day events. For April, I am trying out coloring the top bar of the day and then writing the event in that day’s box. I am not in love with this and will probably try something else next month.

Weekly Spread

Most of the changes that have been made are in April’s weekly pages.

The biggest change on the weekly page is the shopping list. In last month’s layout, I mentioned that I had forgotten to implement the weekly shopping and grocery list. I also commented on the “Due Dates” column being useless currently. To fix these issues, I removed the “Due Dates” column which made room for a shopping list column. I also shortened “Events & Appointments,” since I noticed that I did not need all the space I had previously allotted.

Shortening “Events & Appointments” allowed me to include a “Tracking” column. This is a section that I love to include because it helps to keep me accountable. Tracking is another item that I forgot about in March.

The “Tracking” column, though depicted as blank, is being used to track water intake. When I drink a glass of water, I am drawing a small glass into the tracking square for that day.

UPDATE: I am just drawing the little glasses and filling them when I drink a glass of water.

For April’s weekly spread, I have also decided to keep the title’s all in the same sandy color, instead of alternating with green.

List Pages

In March, my “Mind-Dump” page quickly filled up with blogging ideas! So, it was only natural that I created another one. This time, the title is in cursive and is written much smaller, as to leave more space for mind-dumping. It already has a ton of ideas in it!

A second list-page addition is a Wishlist! This is a page I had in my previous bullet journal (depicted here). I loved the wish list because it keeps track of things that I want that do not quite fit in my budget or that I considered additional purchases. Many of the items that I include on this list are expensive and require that I save for them. Other items are not immediate needs.

I hope you have enjoyed April’s bullet journal spread! I will continue to add and perfect my spreads each month! Is there anything else you would like to see me trying in my bullet journal? Share your bullet journaling ideas with me on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, or talk about it in the comments section below!
