Sometimes, I struggle to find inspiration for a monthly theme concept. April was barreling closer, and I had no idea what I wanted to do. I considered just slapping a pain color down and leaving it there. But I did not want to. So, I took to Instagram and found inspiration from @seed_successful_you. The salmon-colored lettering paired with the off-white reminded me of colored terracotta, and I tried to recreate it. I do not LOVE my recreation, but I was so glad to find inspiration. "Terracotta" Theme Breakdown
As I already mentioned, this month's terracotta theme was inspired by another layout. When I decided to create my own rendition, I had to mix paints to create the off-white and salmon colors. I loved the colors I made at first, and don't get me wrong, I still do. However, in retrospect, I wish I would have gone a bit more orange than pink.
I took loose inspiration from the patterns; however, I did not want to go overboard. I tried to use the lines as a way to break up the colors. And again, in retrospect, I wish I would have used very straight lines only. But, alas, I ran with this.
While there is a lot I wish I had done differently with this terracotta theme, I still enjoy it! What are your thoughts? What would you do differently?

April 2021 Layout Explanation
As usual, this month's actual layout is the same. The only different thing is the 5 weeks in April versus the normal 4. This means that I had an odd week with no page partner.
So, I decided to create a page for notes to fill the space. On this page, I will likely keep running to-do items or a braindump.

Spring Cover Page
The final part of my April set-up came as an afterthought and is pretty unlike the rest of the set-up. I stuck with the terracotta theme; however, I changed things up a bit. Instead of covering the entire page, I branched out and added slight changes in the colors and chose to add a dark green. Then I create one sloppy painted circle per color. There are 5 circles total.
Then I utilized my Poooli printer to create floral letters to spell "SPRING." While I could have just as easily used pens to create this look, I am not skilled at drawing flowers freehand. So, to save time and effort, I chose to create my own stickers of them. If you are interested in a portable printer like mine, use code ELIZABETH15 to get 15% off!
